BREAKAWAY 2025: REMEDY COLLECTIVE TAKES OVER GRAND RAPIDS
Grand Rapids was alive with music and energy this past weekend as Breakaway Festival returned, and Remedy Collective made sure every corner of the festival felt their signature vibe. From August 15th to 16th, the collective wasn’t just part of the lineup — they were everywhere, curating experiences that stretched from the main stage to Launch Pad and even the silent disco.
Festival-goers danced across stages, discovering Remedy artists in every corner, whether losing themselves in immersive beats at the main stage, vibing at Launch Pad, or grooving under the quiet pulse of the silent disco. Each set carried Remedy’s unmistakable touch, blending high-energy performances with moments of intimate connection to the music.
Beyond the official festival grounds, Remedy’s influence carried into the city’s afterparties, transforming Grand Rapids into one continuous stage. Founded nearly two decades ago by Matthew Bowman, a night club promotions expert and artist in the entertainment industry, Remedy Collective began with a simple passion: music. Over the years, it has grown into a dynamic entertainment company with a large roster of talented local DJs and artists, producing unforgettable events and experiences throughout Grand Rapids and beyond.
MattB and MeggB have been a marital power duo, organizing and executing entertainment, family-style, for nearly 10 years. Together, they combine vision, creativity, and hands-on leadership to keep Remedy Collective at the forefront of music, events, and community impact.
From flagship festivals like The Irish Remedy and Oddities on Ottawa to performances at major venues such as Breakaway Music Festival, Remedy Collective blends creativity, innovation, and professionalism to bring music to life.
But Remedy is more than music — it’s a multi-faceted community force. We support local initiatives from food banks and Toys for Tots to the Grand Rapids Pride Center and AYA Youth, while nurturing emerging talent in photography, videography, culinary arts, and live performance.
