Oddities on Ottawa Returns in 2025 — Bigger, Stranger, and Ready to Take Over
Grand Rapids’ most eccentric Halloween block party is back — and this year, Oddities on Ottawa is raising the stakes. Hosted by Garage Bar and powered by Remedy Collective, the second edition of this citywide celebration is set to be bigger, bolder, and stranger than ever before.
In 2024, Oddities debuted as a brand-new concept: a Halloween street takeover filled with music, costumes, and all things odd. The energy was undeniable, the crowd showed up in force, and the city got a taste of just how wild Ottawa Avenue could become when the unexpected takes center stage.
For 2025, Remedy Collective is upping the ante. This year’s block party will feature:
A National Headliner: Remedy Collective has secured a major name in electronic music to lead the night — with a full announcement dropping soon.
Live DJs All Night: A stacked lineup of talent will keep Ottawa pulsing with music, from heavy-hitting sets to spooky, dancefloor-shaking vibes.
Odd Performances: Expect the outrageous and unforgettable, with acts like the Plant Sluts pushing boundaries and adding to the Halloween spectacle.
Community Vibes: Vendors, food trucks, beer tents, and a city-wide costume contest bring the block party to life, ensuring Oddities is more than just music — it’s an immersive Halloween experience.
“Oddities was born out of a love for music, art, and the community,” said the Remedy Collective team. “Year one proved the demand for something different in Grand Rapids nightlife. Year two is about expanding that vision — bigger crowds, bigger stages, and surprises around every corner.”
The return of Oddities on Ottawa marks another milestone for Remedy Collective as the group continues to shape the city’s music scene with creativity, inclusivity, and a commitment to unforgettable live experiences.

BREAKAWAY 2025: REMEDY COLLECTIVE TAKES OVER GRAND RAPIDS
Grand Rapids was alive with music and energy this past weekend as Breakaway Festival returned, and Remedy Collective made sure every corner of the festival felt their signature vibe. From August 15th to 16th, the collective wasn’t just part of the lineup — they were everywhere, curating experiences that stretched from the main stage to Launch Pad and even the silent disco.
Festival-goers danced across stages, discovering Remedy artists in every corner, whether losing themselves in immersive beats at the main stage, vibing at Launch Pad, or grooving under the quiet pulse of the silent disco. Each set carried Remedy’s unmistakable touch, blending high-energy performances with moments of intimate connection to the music.
Beyond the official festival grounds, Remedy’s influence carried into the city’s afterparties, transforming Grand Rapids into one continuous stage. The collective’s presence wasn’t just a series of performances — it was a takeover, weaving together sound, light, and community into an unforgettable weekend.

What was billed as a high-energy summer day party headlined by Pauly D turned into a full-blown marathon set showcase from two local legends — Matt B and Collin Chaos — and trust us, they didn’t just hold the crowd… they owned it.
Originally set for 11AM to 6PM, the Wawye Oasis Pool & Nightclub at Gun Lake Casino was packed and ready to party. But as Pauly D’s arrival stretched past the scheduled time — not hitting the decks until 7PM — the real stars of the day emerged loud and clear.
Matt B and Collin Chaos threw down a 7-HOUR non-stop set — a masterclass in crowd control, energy, and endurance. From sun-up poolside vibes to peak-hour bangers, they shifted effortlessly between genres, kept the energy up, and gave the people exactly what they came for.
